Inspired by Bucky.
I'm a Clinton supporter, and expect to remain one. I don't think she's the likely winner of the primary, but I'm voting for her and making contributions.
I'd rather not see Obama win. But if he did, I think it would be a good thing for the country to see a Democratic candidate who is charismatic and a gifted orator. We've had a few, but not many.
Should he win the nomination, and the presidency, I also think it would be a wonderful and powerful thing for racial minorities to see someone who is not a member of the majority race take this office. I would feel very glad, especially for African American kids, who face so many obstacles in this culture, to see themselves represented at the highest level of national government.
I would only wish the generations of racists who enslaved and oppressed people of African ancestry could momentarily raise from the dead to see a black man as President, so they could take that one vision back to hell with them to increase their torment.
Of course I think there are many positives about a Clinton win, and that's where I'm investing my resources - but that's not the point of this post.
