Can we talk more about platforms?

Hillary supporters, let's ask Obama supporters about his platform.
I started one of my own and I learned some new information.

I am a hard core Hillary supporter to be sure.
I just don't like to be manupilated by MSM.

One more thing. Please stop using bad words.
Obama supporter and Hillary supporter. That's clear and enough.

I don't want Hillary to win just because MSM changed their talking point.
I want both of them to focus more on issues.

1. What do you like most about Hillary's platform?
Or the top two or three things? I'd like to hear not just from you, but from anyone who cares to answer.

6. Her health care, not perfect but forced participation is very important step
to 'real universal Heath care'.

I like her gay right standing. I have a lot of friends in gay community.
Right now, her details of environmental policy is better than Obama's
I am very against nuclear since the waste management is huge issue.

I also believe she is more hands-on policy maker/implementer.
I do believe her loss with her health care initiative is actually a huge advantage. As a working mother/professional, you learn most from mistakes.

Finally, she has better connection for and understanding of economy.

As a realist, I am very aware that Obama has very good chance to win both primary and November. I do admit Hillary may have to work harder for Nov.
However, from day one, she has an edge.

Good government heavily relies on its ability to implement. I never forget Katrina. Devils in details. I do believe Hillary fundamentally more progressive than Bill because she is a convert. She will also love to go further left if she can get enough support.

I hope this help.

11. I already did in other OP I started.
I have to leave soon. I meant to just check some and I actually spent more time than I should on DU.

I live in MD and I am looking forward to listen to Hillary platform more.

I learned so far that Obama is really for open government.
That is more of the attribute of the office that what the office plans to implement.

I love to hear more about Obama's key point in his platform.

4. Obama advocates for open government and transparency.
Clintons have a record of siding with secrecy and privilege of closed government.

THAT is my key issue that distinguishes the two candidates more than anything else.

I think closed government and the ongoing protection of secrecy and privilege has had tragic consequences for this nation.

Truth Matters. I hope that can become a bigger issue in this campaign.

10. Open government is nice.. but I must admit that is not my highest priority.
I try to be as honest as possible.

I am very sick of tired of the level of incompetency of the current administration.

I was actually became clinically depressed during Katrina. I just could not believe what happened. Bush screwed up FEMA which Clinton administration revived.

Hillary is not very 'open person' to start with. I do have a faith in her fundamental belief. However, I have strongest faith in her ability to implement policies. The president of U.S. is the executive branch. Congress is the legislative branch. This is why the ability to implement policy is the most important since we don't have control over that. The congress is supposed to have a greater control over what to implement.

12. Every other issue is contingent upon open government. You just don't realize it.

Read the link and you can gain further insight to HOW protecting secrecy and privilege of closed government has CAUSED the inability of Dems to SUCESSFULLY IMPLEMENT their own policies and priorities even WITH the advantage of the oval office and a congressional majority. There is a SERIOUS LESSON to be learned by all Democrats - lawmakers and voters.

We would have HAD universal healthcare and sound energy policies, and NO 9-11 and NO Bush2 had OPEN GOVERNMENT been the priority in the 90s.

5. The biggest obstruction for a Dem cadidate is the MSM.
They have the power to shape the opinions of millions of people. They have the power to make us love or hate someone, depending on their sponsors. They let Bush get away with crimes against humanity for all these years; I can just imagine what they'll try to do to any Dem nominee.

13. Which is why Dems should have stood WITH other Dems being attacked instead of
piling on.

What signal did THAT send to the corpmedia? That they CAN lie and get support for those lies.
