NY Post Blind Item On Dem Candidate
"Which dashing Democratic presidential candidate used to be infamous for trying to steal other guys' girlfriends? The lusty lawmaker had a habit of doggedly pursuing attractive young women after meeting them at D.C. dinner parties even if they were already spoken for."

http://www.nypost.com/gossip/pagesix_u.htm

... well it's not so blind.

1. No idea
So people still refer to women who have boyfriends or husbands as being "spoken for"? How absurd. Last time I checked, we spoke for ourselves.

2. Dashing?
I'm not sure ANY of them qualify as "dashing" -- maybe Edwards.

Terry: "Buddy, how do I look..."
Buddy: (unenthusiastically) "Dashing..."
Terry: "Oh wait, my fly's open!" (quickly zips fly)
Buddy: "That was the dashing part..."
-- dialogue from "Just One of the Guys" starring Joyce Hyser

5. well whenever Edwards is described
it's always related to his looks. the only other candidate in that has been getting those kind of comments is Clark, and he's not a lawmaker.

9. Edwards hasn't been in politics long enough to have "had a habit" of doing

anything.

Also, Edwards, in Four Trials, says that because he takes no PAC or DC lobbyist money, it means he never goes to DC dinner parties. He spends evenings with his children.

Furthermore, if it were anyone who was married, the gossip would highlight the infidelity angle, presumably.

Kerry was recently single, and ended up marrying a colleague's widow.

He seems to fit the bill.

Note that this is blind so that it hurts the maximum number of dems.

4. We're the horndog party
Republicans never engage in such behvior. Evenings are for Bible study and the like.

6. i'm going to guess
it's not DK - even if he is "searching for a firstlady" ;)

i remember Lieberman when he made that remark to the young girl in the RockTheVote debate... but it couldnt be him.

I'm stumped.

8. Would bet it's Kerry.
He's been in DC a long time and apparently was quite the bachelor (have read references to this in some of the puff pieces) prior to his marriage to Teresa Heinz.

This would be my guess. Gephardt and Edwards both have been married a long time, so they seem doubtful candidates.

Lieberman - not dashing. Hadasa is his second wife but no idea how long he's been married.

It must be Kerry - prior to his marriage.

Doesn't seem the story's is a case of infidelity, merely horniness.

10. Rupert Murdoch's rag NY Post is not on the level when it comes to Dems.
couldn't help but notice a story that takes a swipe at Robert Redford.
