Hillary is My Candidate!
So I took this political http://www.wqad.com/Global/link.asp?L=259460">quiz because since Edwards is out of the race, I have to decide who to vote for. I took this same quiz a couple of months back, and it showed that Edwards was my Number 1 and Chris Dodd was Number 2. So who is it now?

Hillary -- with a score of 58 points!
Second place is Obama...with a score...of...58 points?!

:wtf:

I thought the chasm seperating these two was unbreachable by any means. That anybody who would vote for Hillary couldn't POSSIBLY vote for Obama (and vice versa). But maybe this is some kind of a break-through. Because if I'm reading the threads here in the GD: P correctly, I can now officially hate myself!

Skinner!! I think we need a new forum "General Discussion: Primaries - Self-Loathing Division"

I'd be happy to serve a Moderator.

1. Self-loathing forum? That could be very popular.
We'd have to be careful to make sure that only the self-loathers are posting there. If those who loathe the self-loathers also arrived, it would simply be another iteration of GD-P.

7. It may be the Line Item Veto...
I know that I disagreed with Edwards/Dodd on that. I'm for it, but it's one of those "What-The-Hell-Why-Not" issues that isn't going to decide whether or not a I support a candidate.

9. Maybe That Was It
I oppose it because it invests too much power in the executive branch but I certainly am not passionate about the issue...

10. I think it is a good idea
but I remember how Tommy Thompson used it in Wisconsin, he would cross out a word like "not" if he felt like it and call that a "line item veto". Thus, reversing the meaning of the legislation and requiring a 2/3 majority to undo that.

The quiz sucked though, since I got Mike Gravel as my top candidate with 33% followed by Clinton 32 and Obama 31. Supposedly I agree with Gravel on taxes. Except I don't, because he promotes the rightwing UnFairTax.

11. Everyone should take this quiz, it's great. I didn't know some of these candidates stances
Boy, it was a close one between Hillary and Obama. But Hillary came out on top, as always.

12. That's my ironic point
There is a paper-thin political difference between these two candidates. I really did go back to take the quiz and they ended up in a dead heat. To hear some people on these boards, one side or the other is the incarnation of evil, and there is no way that they would vote for the other candidate in the General Election.

Look at our final two candidates. Have you ever been prouder to be a Democrat? We're going to elect either the first woman or the first African-American in our nation's history next fall. That is way cool beyond words. I like both of these candidates and intend to work my ass off for whichever one gets the nomination.
