two Obama quotes that sum up why I am supporting him
1. "We don't just need to get out of Iraq, we need to change the mind-set that got us into Iraq," - Obama at the CA debate.

2. "Nothing changes becuase... politicians start worrying about how to win the next election instead of why they should." - Obama, Feb 5th.

For seven years we've had a party and a government that is more concerned with keeping power than helping people.

That's why George Bush brought us into Iraq, and that's why the Democrats let him.
That's why Democrats voted for the Patriot Act without reading it.
That's why nothing has been done about health care.
That's why they debate a "flag desecration amendment" every two years.

and that's why I'm supporting Obama this year.

10. Helped pass bipartisan ethics/transparency laws, both in Illinois and the US Senate.
Getting people from both sides of the aisle together to act AGAINST their own corruption is a pretty solid achievement.

6. Two excellent quotes from Obama that
defines his mind set..

1. "We don't just need to get out of Iraq, we need to change the mind-set that got us into Iraq," - Obama at the CA debate.

2. "Nothing changes because... politicians start worrying about how to win the next election instead of why they should." - Obama, Feb 5th.

And one of my favorites from Michelle is that they decided when they got into all this they would try and make it better than they found it. She also said that if you want to change it ..you can't become them.

As Marianne Williamson has said..Obama has already changed things.

7. #1 I agree with.
#2 I think he has
worried about his next
election since becoming
Senator as much, if not
more that he has worried
about being Senator.

13. I just don't believe him. He has weird connections to neoconservatives and megachurches.
I don't think he'll be able to stop the bullshit congressional votes like flag desecration. I'm afraid his change of thinking on Iraq will be nothing but a move to Pakistan or some other unfortunate country.
