Gore to Endorse Obama? (AOL news)
http://news.aol.com/political-machine/2008/02/07/gore-to-endorse-obama/

Political Machine's Tommy Christopher spoke to Clinton National Finance Committee co-chair John F.X. Graham. Graham said, "I haven't heard that at all, but after the Kennedy endorsement, I don't think this means much at all. Obama only won in Republican states, he can't carry California, New York, Massachusetts." Graham also alluded to Gore's 2004 endorsement of Dean. "Gore's endorsement, after he endorsed Howard Dean, doesn't impress me much."

Clinton's people don't think a Gore endorsement is worth much... I wonder if they would say the same thing if Gore endorsed clinton.

1. I don't think Gore will be endorsing anyone. He and Tipper early voted in Tennessee, and they won't
say who they voted for...since they are private citizens...

2. Well that makes me feel better about this all being a Clinton ploy and he'll eventually endorse her.
If he were to endorse Clinton, they wouldn't be talking about how the endorsement doesn't mean much. Originally I thought they were putting the idea out there to get the media talking about Gore endorsing Obama, only to have him come out in favor of Clinton. That would've been huge, but I don't expect any of that now.

3. I doubt he will endorse anyone.
Why would he? I think he wants to galvanize people behind his cause and wants leverage to do so.

Ask yourself: Who does this one benefit?

5. Would this be the same Al Gore that got crucified by the left post 2000?

6. I hope he does,
but I think he won't. Not Obama, and most definitely not Hillary. If President Gore wanted to be involved in this primary, he would be running. And the nomination would have likely been settled already, in his favor.

7. Gore could step in and endorse to create...
momentum for one candidate ... which might help prevent a brokered convention.

8. I didn't know Iowa, Connecticut, Delaware, Minnesota etc were "Republican states"
The Hillary is hoping to repeat the electoral success of Dukakis I guess. Hillary will give them that.

9. They seem to think he is...
Otherwise they wouldn't be trying so hard to inoculate themselves against it. Otherwise, why even discuss it, since even talking about it makes it sound like Gore supports Obama?
