Carl Rove - Clinton will win the nominee
He just went through the analysis with Alan Colmes

Obama has had his best showing, Hillary's are ahead of her with TX and Ohio

He did well with the caucus' but those are about over, Hillary does better with primaries

He think O will raise more money, but H will win the nomination

we will see if he is right

Should make the H supporters happy

1. Why do the most dispicible of GOP people say Hillary will either win it or is desirable to win?
Is it because they in fact don't want her to win and lying about her winning or being the best to win they believe will turn her off to everyone else?

42. No I agree with you,
he's probably using double reverse psychology. That's much more likely.

The other alternative, that he just dislikes HRC is a lot less probable. It's not like she has the highest negative ratings of any candidate, or that all the polls show her losing to McCain, while the other democratic contender is beating McCain. or that all the evidence shows that Independents and Republicans will vote for BO but not HRC. It's not like he knows all those facts and is worried about that. Oh wait a mintue....

35. I don't want her to win
but, I'm also pragmatic. Sure I wanted edwards to win..and prob now obama, but I'm not naieve..I know how the political machine is run. So I'm already bracing myself for a clinton win. Of course the repubs want her to win...McCain will run her out of town...but that doesn't make Rove wrong either.

17. The only way she will take Florida in the primaries, is if they run the primary
Edited on Thu Feb-07-08 09:41 PM by still_one
again in MI and Florida, which I am not against

If she wins those states, when the DNC told the other candidates not to run their, and they give her those votes by default, and wins the nomination because of that, many Obama suppporters will not bother to vote in the Presidential election

However, if they rerun those primaries with all the candidates on the ballot, and she wins, then we will be all united against the republicans for the white house

46. I don't think they can rerun the primaries in MI & FA since the primaries are
over the first week of June, and the candidates are on the campaign trail until then, the cost also would be prohibitive and the millions of voters in FA & MI probably would not appreciate having to vote again.

The way things are going right now, the super delegates will decide, they may not vote the way their district or state did. One of the super delegates in PA said today he was going to vote for Hillary regardless of how PA votes. That could be a real problem!

18. The biggest competitive primary election that Obama won is his home state.
Hillary has won the primary elections in New Hampshire, Arizona, Arkansas, California, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Oklahoma and Tennessee.

She has accrued 575 delegates for her primary wins.

Obama has won primary elections in South Carolina, Alabama, Connecticut, Delaware, Georgia, Illinois, Missouri and Utah.

He has accrued 260 Delegates for his primary wins.

16. Actually 3 of the next 5 contests...
...are caucuses.

Obama has the significant advantage in the majority o f the ten states that vote
before March 4. He'll have victory after victory for the next three weeks. Some
of those victories will be crushing victories.

Gee, that won't affect anyone or anything! :eyes:

Louisiana is Saturday and the latest polls showed Obama with a 60-point advantage.
Nebraska is Saturday, and it's a caucus. Again, advantage Obama.
I'm not sure about Washington.

Karl Rove is spinning for Hillary. You have to ask yourself...why?

This helps Hillary. Clearly she's got deep trouble, and any friend of hers right
now is out there selling the notion that this is a close race that will go down
to the wire. Obviously, Karl is one of those people.

WHY?

19. O will do well the rest of this month
but there are more delegates in OH and TX, thats all he was saying, do the math, not that he cared one way or the other

also, check the previous elections against the states O has won, this site has ALL previous election results

http://grayraven.com/ec/

I want O to win, the primary and the GE, but realistically I doubt those states historically are going to change.

The sweeping changes were for 80 and 84 with Reagan, I think O is far more motivational than Reagan, it seems others do as well...I just don't know if it is enough, and while we are in a war????

21. Rove not being in an Obama swoon can objectively look at
each State and the numbers.

The MSNBC NBC and Some On CNN have created an almost mythical
approach. I do not think in the long run this is fair to Obama
and his supporters. Can create false expectations.

That Zogby poll...............

23. Rove Is Not An Idiot
Hill should win WV, KY, OH, TX, and PN...Lots and lots of delegates in the latter three...

But the month of February is tough for her...She has to weather potential losses in Louisiana, Washington ,Nebraska, Maryland, DC, and Virginia to get there...

She has to be at least competitive... The press who would like to see her political corpse is going to be beating her up mercilessly for the next three or four weeks...

But I have faith in her... She's not a quitter...

If Hillary is elected prez the right wing talkers expect their ratings to soar. President Hillary will be a bonanza for rush, coulter, hannity, savage etc. They think president Clinton means better rating for their shows than president Obama or even mccain, for whom their hatred is even more irrational than their Hillary hatred.

he has great political capabilities, just doesn't use them for the Dems. They need one of their own.

It takes two parties for a two party system to work. Which is how this country was designed and it works.

Comments such as yours are disgusting from either side, it emboldens the bomb throwers such as talk radio has become.

45. They realize that Hillary ups their chances in the fall
With Hillary as our nominee, every single conservative, Republican and RW fundy will come out of the woodwork to vote against her, no matter if the the 'Pug candidate is McCain, Romney, Paul, or a dead dog. Those on the right hate her that much.

Secondly they know that a Hillary nomination will split the Democratic vote three ways, with the anti-war left either going Green, going Nader or going home, while conservative Dems will actually go for McCain. Also, in a Hillary/McCain race, McCain pulls the majority of independents into his camp.

Obama is the nightmare candidate for the 'Pugs, Hillary is their dream candidate. They want to go up against her, that's why all these RW folks, including the RW media is pushing her so hard. Never, ever do what Rush, Coulter or Rove thinks is best, haven't we learned that by now?

He never had to go this far in the primaries because he always swiftboated his opponent much before this point.

Hillary had her best showing on Super Tuesday. Obama's states are ahead, in states like Washington, Virginia, Maryland, Louisana, etc.
