More on the Obama - Cialis tiff - supported by evidence
Sorry Skinner for posting this if I am doing the wrong thing. I posted this before and got moved to the lounge, but I think I am on to something:

"Also at the November decency forum, Sen. Barack Obama, D-Ill., described himself in a statement as “a parent who has had to sit through uncomfortable Cialis commercials while watching television with my 7- and 4-year-old daughters."

So then within several weeks a new ad comes out from Cialis featuring an actor that looks like Barack Obama.

I'll list the physical features that match:
-facial shape
-skin tone
-upward angle to eyebrows
-similar hair

The effect it had was http://www.google.com/search?q=cialis+commercial+obama">several public comments that Barack "looked like the Cialis guy"

It may be a weird coincidence, but I can just see the Cialis guy hearing the comment from Barack in November and thinking "I'm going to get him back" and coming up with the idea of by subliminally associating his image with impotence".

3. There is an older one with a guy in a hammoc - not that one
this is the new one. I saw it and thought - hey that looks like Barak. I mentioned it to my wife and she said "I noticed it too". And you see a few comments from message boards on the web for the link I gave that demonstrate that others noticed it too.

5. You see a lot of "lookalikes" in commercials.

When the advertiser wants to be associated with a popular person, but that person would never agree to sponsor their product. Recently, I have seen Dave Chappelle, Adam Sandler, and Morgan Freeman lookalikes doing commercials. They are never exact doubles, but they look similar enough that you get the association on some level.

edit: spelling
