I have a feeling one of them will drop out soon
Before anyone snarks, yes this is pure speculation on my part.

The reason I think the party insiders are going to pressure one of them to drop out is because I don't think they want this primary process to go on so late into the year. The same thing goes for the Republicans, I suspect. (Who here really thinks Mitt Romney dropped out because he wanted to?)

If the Republicans have a clear nominee (Looks like it's going to be McCain), while the Democrats continue to drag this two way race through the spring, it hurts the Democrats. The Republicans will start the fund raising and the campaigning for their presidential candidate while the Democrats fall behind.

The problem with the Democrats right now is that the race is basically a dead heat. The Republicans don't have that problem and McCain is easily going to emerge as the winner a lot sooner.

I don't think either party wants to have their candidate chosen at the convention. This was supposed to be over by now.

2. I think so, too
the "not wanting to tear the party apart" meme is strong everywhere. first edwards, the guillani, then romney

it is a matter of will the machine get to obama?

obama right now is apple, google and the people powered revolution. it's what we have been waiting for. I don;t care what anyone says about Obama - all he is is an organizer. the obama campaign is about us, not him.

3. I simply cannot see this happening...both teams think they're
gonna win...I'd hate to see a brokered convention, but I think it won't come to that.

9. I think one of them should before they get too nasty with other.

10. either would be a fool to drop out
it's extraordinarily uncommon for two candidates to be so equally viable at this stage of the race. short of some revelation that would surely doom their run, or some catastrophic personal issue, both have every reason to believe that they're extremely close to achieving what they set out to do.

11. Hillary's new strategy seals her demise...
She's taking the Guiliani route--ignoring everything and putting all of her
eggs into the TX, OH and PA baskets.

Problem is...those states vote on Mar 5, and there are at least 10 states that vote
until that time. Hello...political suicide.

She's going to be trounced upon, up and down the court--in the next two weeks.

She will absolutely be unable to recover.
