2. My understanding
Is that their primary will select the district level delegates, and then anyone that votes in the primary can participate in the caucus which will determine the at-large delegates.

4. My question
By having the caucus start at 7:15 PM at the precincts, and only allowing primary voters to participate, aren't the encouraging everyone to show up to vote in the primary right before polls close? I would not want to have to go back home after voting only to go back later to caucus. I know many will not participate in the caucus, but anyone who does will be rushing in right at the end. Sounds like a mess to me.

6. We have bog lines at 6:45. Also, lots of folks vote early
Early voting starts on February 19 and runs, continuously (which is amazing that we have early voting on a Sunday in the Bible belt) through February 29.

7. I'll vote early :)
And then leave work earlier than usual to make it to my precinct on time. :)

5. It's a Texas thing
Wacky, but we've always done it that way. Some come from the actual vote results, and some come from the precinct/state senate caucuses to follow.

Want to hear about oil well allowables? Even more fun.
