Obama cannot win Tennessee
but you must understand the iron fist control of the media in TN. Moneyed republicans control what people here think. Not because they pay for advertising, but pay the salaries of virtually anybody with a microphone. Albert Gore was crazy and we should be embarrassed he is even from TN is all that was heard. He did not move to NY, he is proud to live in TN. And I believe he won this state by a wide margin. We have those irreplaceable expensive magnetic electron memory voting "machines" all over here in the unwinnable small red states with a DEMOCRATIC GOVERNOR AND DEMOCRATIC LEGISLATURE home of AL GORE born and raised. I think your smart enough to switch sides. Obama is change and change is Obama. We the people of D.U. want to change America more than anything else. And if D.Uers do not support Obama I want you to consider a my last posty.(please do not leave, you will never be ignored by me}.

4. How could we ever forget what they did to Harold Ford?
That was so horrible. Racism is alive and well, especially in the South.

5. I worked for the Ford campaign and you are dead wrong
Most people we talked to just didn't like where Ford stood on the issues - that is, he and Corker were basically identical on major issues and Ford did nothing to spur the youth or Democratic base. He stood in lock-step with Bush on torture, Iraq, and went around the state telling people "I like Bush, he's a good guy and he call's me "Fordy" - I just think we should do things a little differently in his strategy."

Sure, there were some die-hard racists and the "Call me Harold" ads played to that mantra. But most people, at the end of the day, told us that they went with the devil that they knew rather than the one they didn't.

11. agreed T-Tn
he's about a hair left of John McCain the prototypical DLC-centrist democrat that is fast becoming extinct-just like Joe LIEberman, who when I see him standing behind McCain with his I'm so important smirk on his lying face disgusts me still. What WAS Al Gore thinking putting that scumbag on his ticket. I PRAY McCain does the same thing-there is nobody (talking politicians) except maybe Bush/Cheney who is more hated in American politics. It would assure a democratic victory.

6. Corker beat Ford 51%-48%, about 50,000 votes,
and we weren't in a recession. Bozo the clown will take Tennessee this year, if he runs as a Democrat. This is doable.

12. No Democrat can win Tennessee. Al Gore couldn't even win it. Get real.
Tennessee just suffered the quirk of some three dozen tornadoes in the winter which can only be explained through the prism of global warming and yet this is the state that still has disdain for even Al Gore.

Tennessee and Texas are beyond the grasp of any rationale. I waste no time worrying about either.

14. Why can't pukes get elected in TN from top to bottom
and it's called a red state. And you say its a waste of time.
