Michelle Obama: I'll "Think About" Supporting Hillary. (from HuffPo)
People. We have got to start finding some unity NOW. Not only are comments like this from Michelle terribly divisive, but the posted comments by HuffPo readers sound like Free Republic. I am an Edwards supporter. I am very dismayed by the braying and bullying of some candidate supporters. This notion that "I will vote for McCain before I'll vote for ****" is just NUTS.

We have to get a grip now, before we are torn irreparably apart. Please read some of the comments posted, and see where we are heading. Let's get past race and gender and making history and finding salvation. This is about our future, and the future of our children. Eyes on the prize!

This morning on Good Morning America:

ROBERTS: So what if Senator Clinton defeats her husband, becoming the first woman nominee. Could you see yourself working to support the first woman nomination?

OBAMA: I'd have to think about that. I'd have to think about that, her policies, her approach, her tone.

ROBERTS: That's not a given?

OBAMA: You know, everyone in this party is going to work hard for whoever the nominee is. I think that we're all working for the same thing. and, you know, I think our goal is to make sure that the person in the White House is going to take this country in a different direction. I happen to believe that Barack is the only person who can really do that.

You people seem to forget that Michelle is only into politics because her husband asked for her support. She was not a political figure as the Clintons are. The Clinton's have made politics their life. Michelle did not. So lay off of her. For white women your problem with Black women is that you cannot stand us but you don't have a problem with our Black men as long as they have some money (basketball players, football players, etc.). If Tiger Woods was just some joe blow that little white nanny would not have given him the time of day. Black folks know how you all think. White men your problem is that you cannot stand to see a Black woman who is intelligent and can speak her mind. I guess you all think we should be relegated to raising your children, cooking and cleaning your homes. It is a new day in America...Get the hell over it.

I understand Michelle totally. It is okay for white woman Billary to say what she wants and be strong but it does not apply to Black women.

I got your you people. Its obvious to me you and Michelle are prejudice black bitches. We don't want your black men. They hound white women. As for Tiger woods he's married to a blonde headed white women with blue eyes. Bet you can't stand that can you. Its all about black and white and your ambitous asses wanting the white house. You would turn in it into soul train. I could see it all now. Its all about a party. It would be friday after next and next. I wouldn't trust you people with care of our country. Michele Obama you and Oprah and all the rest are more prejudice than whites are. You make me sick and I wouldn't vote for the half breed if they paid me too.By the way we don't want your black men. The truth is your fucking jealous. Thats for real

2. I know. But they did post Michelle's comments. And the readers are at each others' throats.
We've got to figure out how to unite.

3. She's as bad as Bill Clinton
She's said some really stupid things, but they don't get a lot of attention because she's not an exPresident.

4. Michelle's comments have been completely overlooked. When she gets some real scrutiny
some Dems are going to be in for a shock.

5. I agree with you,
Michelle's made some provocative statements that haven't raised an eyebrow in the press. Honestly though, I doubt anything will scratch the teflon that protects the Obamas.

7. That's one reason I'd like MORE debates. Let's get this crap in the open NOW.
For BOTH sides.

9. I agree
I'm alway suspicious when someone doesn't want to debate. I remember when bush didn't want to debate and this place went nuts. Just more hypocrisy.
