21. You realize that she endorsed Clinton because she pledged
to endorse whoever won CA, right? It wasn't a personal endorsement about who she believes is the best candidate.

5. And why do we have "super duper" delegates???
I don't understand why we don't have one person one vote and whoever gets more wins!

15. Not just unacceptable
The superdelegate policy was put in place following a failed election, to stop the more liberal wing of the party from nominating an absolutely unelectable candidate. I think they went overboard. It seems clear to me that, unless Florida and Michigan are allowed to seat their delegates, that the superdelegates will determine the outcome of this race. That seems unacceptable to me.

9. yes, there are uncommitted
or, at least they were when the site I pulled them from posted them.

But I think there may be at least 100 to 150 that have committed from this list, based on Obama's projections in another thread and my projections, which came out to about 100-delegate differently.

14. You can bet someone somewhere is trying to figure out ...
... which of these delegates can be persuaded to vote a certain way on the nomination and other votes, and what promise it would take to get them signed on to vote right. We're talking about agency positions, foundation directorships, judgeships, etc.

Unfortunately, one side is really good at doing this, and the other isn't.

16. the freaky thing about it is
of those 800+ superdelegates, 600 of them would have to break for one candidate or the other in order to secure the nomination.

Without Florida or Michigan's delegates, there won't be enough for Hillary or Obama.

17. I think it works like this ...
Edited on Wed Feb-06-08 09:14 PM by TexasObserver
They will either eliminate the Florida and Michigan numbers for the denominator, or they will allow a committee to vote those delegates.

In the end, it will only require a simple majority. One candidate could win by 1-2 votes.
