Which ones do you think we are going to win in a General Election? Obama is not carrying states that trend democratic. Hillary is!

Coult it be that they know the attitudes of their neighbors better than you do. Any Democrat needs to win swing states in order to win the general election. That's just reality. Do you really think that New York, California and Massachusetts will not vote for Obama in the general election?

13. You might be surprised.

Democrats are turing out in record numbers in ALL states, red, blue, and purple alike. Some of the red states that have been red by a smallish margin in the past might very well go blue this year.

The tides are turning this year - people are waking up from their slumber, in ALL states, and are hungry for change, and an end to the Republican warmongering. Whether they will ultimately give Clinton or Obama the nod remains to be seen, but even in the red states, Dems are garnering huge numbers of votes.

And many folks who have voted Republican in the past are voting Dem this year - I know several of them.

Barring massive election fraud (again) we are looking really good this time around.

I want a candidate who can win more than the hard core Democratic states that Kerry won. We can't win as a coastal party.

4. Hillary's not better in the GE. Your conclusion is reversed.

The fact that Hillary edged-out Obama in the blue states does not mean he wouldn't carry those states in the GE, given that Dems have the advantage in them and he is likely to get most of Hillary's voters in the GE.

However, Obama's defeating Hillary in the "red" states shows that he would be the stronger candidate in the swing ("purple") and "red" states -- much like his pulling-in more Independents and Republicans in the open primaries indicates the same.

You follow my thoughts pretty well.

But surprises are what makes this interesting.

I love how Obama brought in some major Southern states, where the corporate media was saying he could never win. I love the fact that Hillary brought in California where the corporate news was saying Obama had it locked up.

And look at little TN, we voted for Hillary. That surprised me.

We have two very, not just good, but great, candidates. I love them both and wished I didn't have to make a choice.

While Clinton only considers them flyovers. When people get to hear and meet Obama in person, they like him a lot. Clinton doesn't even show up and try to reach out to red state voters.
