I'm just as sick of being accused of telling people to 'fall in line'
as people are sick of being told to fall in line.

I'm sure I'm in the majority of Kerry supporters when I say that everyone should vote for the candidate they believe is most qualified to be President, and I am gratified that so far, most of the voters have agreed with me that the most qualified candidate is John Kerry.

I don't see anything wrong with people advocating for the candidate of their choice.

I don't have any problem with people contrasting the positions of their candidate with those of Kerry so that we can debate those issues.

I don't see anything wrong with supporters of candidates who have dropped out voting for that candidate, if that candidate is encouraging them to vote for him and they believe that is the most effective use of their vote.

I don't have problem with people posting news articles, editorials or opinion pieces critical of Kerry as long as it is properly linked.

I don't see anything wrong with people posting their opinions on an issue and how that disagrees with Kerry's position so that that issue can be debated.

3. Both sides read a lot into a few posts, and are quick to generalize
Even worse, both sides are quick to make their own thread in tit-for-tat response, decrying the other side's behavior in just as obnoxious a tone. :(

You spent the majority of last night and this morning belittling me when I suggested that Kerry was not yet the nominee.

Now you try to act like you're tolerant of differing opinions?

Please...go peddle that stuff someplace else.

7. Kerry is not the nominee
Edited on Sat Mar-06-04 10:02 PM by Feanorcurufinwe
and that is exactly what I said in those posts.

There are scenarios, however unlikely, under which Kerry could possibly not become the nominee in the future.

I also said that in those posts.

8. Whatever. Nice, adult posts. They're linked, so other DU'ers can decide.
If I'm being overly sensitive and you were just innocently making comments, not being insultingly sarcastic, I'm sure I'll hear about it...

9. I agree with you that Kerry is not the nominee
Edited on Sat Mar-06-04 10:18 PM by Feanorcurufinwe
in fact, that is one of the points of this thread.

I have satirized some of the comments that have been made arguing against the idea that Kerry's nomination is inevitable. If you took offense at my satire, so be it.

I have also made posts spelling out exactly why I think it is not necessary for everyone to 'fall in line'.

12. I am not and we arent gonna get their vote by threatening to purge em
we gotta persuay in a decent way. As much as I got angry in the past, I always was positive about my candiate. To be honest, I love Kucinich and Kerry, they both rock.

16. You seem to be mistaken.
Feanorcurufinwe's repsonse to you have been more in agreement on the threads you listed, than saying its time to get in line. Did you perhaps post links to the wrong threads?

14. Excellent post...

and I totally agree. You can get more votes with honey than sh*t on a biscuit. And even when you do convert and try to stop the bickering, they call you anti-Kerry? What's up with that?
