Image is everything in a general election presidential campaign.

10. I think it is perhaps the lighting and the background colors in this case.
I must admit, slinkerwink, my favorite tie of his is blue--which seems to suit them all.

11. that's why blue is the best color to wear
I bought my older brother this excellent light blue tie. It had a kind of a wavy texture to it with a couple of rhinestones (which were really tiny chips) sewn into the waves. It was an awesome-looking tie.....I wish I had kept it.

If you were from Louisiana, you would understand
now, we love all the Landrieus
(her brother Mitch is our new Lt Gov)
but I'm afraid that Mary has copped out quite a bit
she has been representative of our
'Rebublican Democrat' wierd politician type

she voted for the (irk) Energy Bill!!!!!!
now, c'mon!

14. Vitter is scum
I live in Mississippi (Pearl River County) but I would come to Louisana and campaign against that neanderthal.

Senator Kerry is getting some fine chow in the Big Easy Today. Deanie's portions are obscenely large but they do have pretty good chow. I prefer the Alpine on Chartres.

20. Landrieu and The Energy Bill

She had to do that,The energy industry gives too many jobs to this state for her not to. I'll probably get flamed for this but it's not like we have many other industries/jobs down here.

I don't like a lot of her votes either (IWR) but on many of them, Kerry and Edwards voted the same way.

27. You're so right.
No flaming from me. I really do hope that our new governor finds a way to bring new jobs into the state.. a lot of people I know are tired of seeing their kids go to Texas for a job.

(And welcome!)

15. Deanie has wonderful seafood in huge portions
But it's not in the Big Easy but the hellhole Metairie-- unless it has moved since I ate there.

16. It hasn't moved
but they opened a shop in the Quarter (I believe its on Dauphine). Huge portions, not bad. So many other great places to eat within just a few blocks.

But according to Buddy D, if you ain't in Bucktown baby, you ain't at the real Deanie's.
How the hell can you go to Deanie's and not do the (fried) Seafood Platter. Pffff...

Edited on Fri Mar-05-04 11:53 PM by zulchzulu
I lived in Nawlins for 6 years and went to Deanie's once. The Oyster Poboy was overrated. Why go to Metairie when all you need is in the Quarter or maybe as far uptown as Tchoupitoulas.

And where the hell was JK's Guinness? Sheesh.

22. OMG! They must be having an affair!!!!

Sorry. I was channeling Matt Drudge for a moment.

That Kerry's such a pig! How come all the food's on his side of the table? He's even got his beverage glass pushed clear over to the other side, in front of Mary. It looks like JK is about to do some serious chowing down, and poor Mary doesn't even appear to have a plate! :D

Love the idea of a Kerry/Landrieu ticket (though I agree that the tie does have to go).
