be more supportive of a run by Howard Dean for the Senate or Independent Rep. Bernie Sanders?

I'm a strong Dean supporter and would love to see him in the Senate, but Bernie is an institution--and a happy compromise might be Bernie for the Senate and Dean running for Bernie's House seat--which represents the entire state.

3. Not a Vermonetr, but I'd support Dean over Sanders

Bernie Sanders does terrific work where he is.

Though I would also support Sanders for Senate and Dean to take over Sanders' house seat.

That would be cool, too. But, as was said above, the Good Citizens of Vermont will make that decision (hopefully not with "a little help" from Diebold)

5. Bernie for Senator

and Dean for president in 2008, after he reforms the Democratic Party. That would be my preference, but if that is not in the cards, then I prefer Dean to go for the senate seat and have Bernie keep the house seat. Either way, these are two of Vermont's best representatives, kind of a win win situation.

Though with Sanders at 65 for the Jeffords race in 2006 (Leahy is running in 2004), I doubt he'd want to start another race. Dean would certainly have instant stature if he were elected to the Senate, and would be a clear-the-field candidate. If neither go for this, I wonder if State Aud. Elizabeth Ready would be up for this challenge.
