Why you don't need to support Kerry.
Edited on Fri Mar-05-04 11:58 AM by Feanorcurufinwe
It's very simple - we're all in this together. It doesn't matter whether you volunteer and donate to Kerry, or some other Democratic or leftist cause. What matters is that you act. What matters is that you don't sit on your hands because you feel your efforts are worthless - they are not. What matters is that you talk to your friends, neighbors and acquaintances about the issues, encourage people to be involved, register people to vote. Do not fall silent. We need everyone on the left to be energized, at the local and state as well as federal level. We need to encourage people of conscience to get involved, run for school boards, county commissions, write letters to the editor, protest the wrongs in the world, expose the lies of the right -- the tasks before us are literally too numerous to list.

You can make a difference, but you must act.

3. Nah, fuck it.
I'd rather bitch about how DUers are "forcing" me to "take loyalty oaths" and "fall in line."

4. Will go out at noon to register people to vote...
A good side note...out of about 1000 people I registered before, 90% registered Democratic.

6. It's not a coincidence that Republicans fight every effort
to make it easier to register to vote. There are simply more people in the country likely to vote Democratic than likely to vote Republican. The more people are registered, and the higher the turnout, the more likely we are to win.

8. When voters are registered there a good chance they'll vote the right way.

11. Thank you. There is a lot of good we can do
if we don't spend our energy being angry at each other.
