make hope into law better than Hillary - or even what form the law will take that reflects his "hope".

Some guy named Wellstone!!!!!!!

Paul Wellstone was the only United States Senate who was up for election who voted against the Iraq War. He was killed in a plane crash days before the election.

You are kidding about not knowing who Paul Wellstone was? Right?

I was acquainted with Paul Wellstone over 40 years ago in Chapel Hill. Followed him afterward. Find a lot in common between Wellstone and Edwards.

It sounds like he simply mentioned Edwards and you are making too much of it and are totally IRRESPONSIBLE.

24. It was Edwards
(mentioned in the previous sentence), and it was a general statement, nothing special. Paying homage to what Edwards achieved through his campaign, and then saying that he knows John E will be with him and everybody else fighting. Did not sound at all as a hint of anything, so I would suggest chilling down :-).

I don't think Barack would let it slip like that. He was careful not to allow the Ted Kennedy thing to slip. He was careful not to mention Oprah early on...He is right! John will be fighting for people for the rest of his life. I don't think it has anything to do with the Obama campaign though...

46. We are really parsing words and
nuances now :-). I do not remember the exact words, but my feeling was that after he said something along the lines of "john will be with us" he realized that it may sound like he is referring to something else and finished the phrase in a way to emphasize that that's not what he meant, it sounded like a slightly awkward way to wrap up his idea. But as I was saying, parsing to the n-th degree :-).

That Edwards is supporting Obama. I think Clinton should speak up about Edwards fight to overcome poverty and we are all right by his side fighting in her Town Hall Meeting on TV monday night. Out of respect for Edwards I think it's the right thing to do.

Remember in Iowa that supposedly Dodd and Biden were urging their supporters to have Obama as their seconds. Or the "Gore endorsement of Obama" that was to be immediately after NH.

55. I was there - he was referring to John Edwards.
I didn't give it a particular meaning - he said they would continue to fight alongside each other for what they believed in.

I thought it a respectful reference for Edwards supporters who might be in the crowd and to emphasize his support for Edward's goals. JE is very popular and had a lot of support in MN.
