Thank You All For a Spirited Primary Debate. The Struggle Continues

The effective end of the primary battle is bitter-sweet.

Over the last six months of primary battle I have enjoyed the great
rhetoric and the fierce slams. I have been pushed to appreciate
the value that all the candidates brought to the table even as
I championed John Kerry as the unique treasure of the progressive
movement -- a great senator with firm liberal commitments, yet a
sufficiently expansive grasps of the core challenges we face
to win the Presidency.

I truly hope that fellow democrats who supported other candidates
have gained an appreciation of John Kerry strengths during the
course of the debate. With the Bush regime now targeting Kerry with
all their weapons while raising the barricades against us, we will
need tremendous unity of spirit and coordination of attack to
win this holy war.
