Tuesday may not settle who the dem nom is, but it will settle a lot
It's as close as we've ever been to a national primary with states from all regions voting. We'll find our definitively if whites will vote for Obama. We'll find out if the Clintons still have any base of support in the African American community. We'll see how latinos will vote. We'll find out if Obama continues to pull in indie and disaffected repub voters. We'll find out if women continue to vote overwhelmingly for Clinton and we'll find out if the youth vote is really as motivated as some are saying. Perhaps most importantly we'll see if the trend of dem voters overwhelmingly outnumbering repub voters continues. This will make for some very interesting reading.
And that info may well tell us where we're headed.
front runner status, I expect we'll get more independents which should help Obama. That said, I'd be (pleasantly) surprised if Hillary did not outperform Obama on Tuesday.
