Poll question: Who will be the easier target for the Republican Noise Machine: Hillary or Obama?
I have yet to hear of any good reason for Edwards sudden recusal from the race, and Kucinich was excluded from six debates (in spite of being invited to some), and is now fighting for his government seat against corporate-sponsored shills.

The Republicans obviously want the easiest target for the Democratic candidate. Who will it be, and why, and knowing why, what can be done to prevent their inevitable torrent?

10. The poster *may* be referring to the likeliest meme to be used
by the righties...or not. It would be easily quashed in a face-to-face with the rebup candidate...although the meme could still circulate amongst the inbreeders.

14. I'm wondering what the next "swift boating" will be, and what to do about it.
And if things are indeed being shaped so that they'll have the weakest possible Dem candidate, if such things are possible, as I don't put much past these clowns and their extremely rich friends.

19. It will definitely be something to watch and work against...
but don't undersell the Democratic financial base just yet...there are substantial pools on our side, and they will certainly have their affect after the primaries. (fingers crossed)

21. Answering both above: Can we quit fearing the 29% yet? It's as insane as fearing one man in a cave

process.

6. They would each have their battles to fight...
...personally, I think Hillary would be the tougher opponent in the face-to-face of debate; but the IWR is gonna' be a problem when discussing the war.

Dems need a candidate that provides a stark contrast to the GOP.

20. Fli-Flopped on what? The IWR? That means SQUAT because the MAJORITY of Americans
flip-flopped on the war themselves. They want OUT and so does she. McCain wants to stay for 100 years! NO CONTEST.

The way this week is ending and with Anthrax Coulter saying she'll endorse Hillary, McCain just might get the wrath of the 30% in November.

15. Senator Clinton
There is too much hatred (much of it unfounded) for Hillary and Bill.

I think Clinton would have to run a 50% + 1 campaign, while I think Obama (and Edwards were he still in it) could actually run a 50-state campaign and be competitive where Dem presidential candidates haven't been competitive in awhile (parts of the Midwest, the intermountain West and the Upper South).

I think Clinton would be a good president, but at the same time, I think there is nothing that could unite the fractured republican party like Sen. Clinton being the democratic nominee in the GE.

28. especially considering all Clinton stories dissappear within 2 days
even the Clinton Kazahkastan thing is gone, even from this board. Clinton stories don't matter anymore. Also, I think the media AND the republican politicians respect Hillary more. Barack Hussein probably has some adultery incidents in the past that the press is just holding back to thro at him, and especially cuz the girls are gonna be white, the media will be all over that, and Rezko is now stuff, McDougal is old bullshit

ANYbody is an easy target for them. The more important question in that is: who can fight back and stand up to their bullshit attacks?

32. Obama..
I just finish listening to a rightwing host on his radio show and he said he wanted to get into it about Obama's Muslim ties. The host said just because he says he is not a christian that he is tied to Muslim. He began spouting off about some article that someone who knows obama wrote who said that Obama is lying about his muslim ties. He further began talking about his pastor and Louis Farrakhan. He was bringing up some other points but I didn't continue to listen because even though I don't support Obama it was beginning to make me angry... I also heard Buchanan this morning talking about how Obama hasn't been tested yet and if he can't take the so called racist statements of Bill Clinton then what will he do when the republicons get a hold of him. This is something I have said all along. This talkshow host also was talking about the rezko scandal...

38. Yes, all they have to do is associate him with any of the distasteful types such as Farrakhan
and people might not even listen beyond that point, even if it's not the truth. It sure worked when Bush placed Saddam and 9/11 in the same sentence, over and over.
