BTW I didn't see a whole of outrage lately about Edwards' vote, Biden's vote, Dodd's vote, and even Kerry's vote with the big endorsement for Obama.
--
The country has moved on to the economy, at this point they just care about ending the war. 73 % of the country was for the war at the onset and they didn't care enough in 2004 to change. Most see the obsession of who voted for the resolution not nearly as important as the decision to end the bloodshed and getting out of Iraq now.

1. The outrage over ALL the AYE votes is here. You'd have to be looking away to have
missed it.

5. No. His apology for it seemed to work effectively, at least with his supporters.
Others never bought it. Look what happened to him.

7. That's not why he lost. He lost because the media ignored him.

10. The media was certainly a problem, but there were plenty of people
who didn't know which was the "real" John Edwards - the one in the Senate or the one campaigning now.

4. Sorry, it's personal with me not a political calculation. I did not
and could not support any DEM for my Party's nomination who voted "aye" that day. Of course I supported the two aye voter GE ticket in 2004 and will in the GE this year if it comes to that. But not for the nomination. I'm absolutely firm in this.

6. I'd never seen the vote breakdown before.
There are some surprising Aye votes -- I still don't get it.

12. The other candidate SAID he wouldn't have voted for the war but
his hurry to believe bush and want to bomb Iran makes you wonder...

13. I love how Hillary supporters are twisting and turning, trying rationalize away this vote
Sorry, but you, and especially your candidate, gets no free pass. She coldly played politics with peoples' lives, and enabled Bush's war. That action insures that much of the anti-war movement will not, cannot support her. Deal with it.
