Second best just won't do. Four more years of the same old politics just won't do.

It's time for real change...at the top.

1. You'll be successful here with that schtick, but the general public isn't as one sided as this.
Most people like both of these candidates.

3. Obama for president
But if Hillary wins the nomination I wouldn't see the Clinton/Obama ticket as a bad thing. It would be an exciting ticket that would beat the Republicans.

7. Hillary at the top means a loss to McCain

Obama won't want to be associated with that.

VP spots on losing tickets are not to way to win the nomination in 4 years.

If Obama stays in the Senate for 4 more and Hillary / X goes down in flames, he can probably win the nomination in a cake walk.

But all this assumes Hillary is the nominee this year, and I'm feeling more and more confident that isn't going to happen.

13. Sorry I have to call bullshit on this one
The Repukes hate McCain more than they hate Hillary.

15. It's my opinion, OK.
Call bullshit all you want. If we nominate Hillary, I'll be back with the "I told you so"s in November.

The wingnuts like Coulter (who is ready to endorse Hillary should McCain win) and Rush, and their listeners don't like McCain. But the vast majority of Repukes DO. And repukes hold their noses and close ranks. Not to mention the Hillary negatives, they are there, they are real, and they won't go away. Independents go for McCain.

Plus, McCain will have one of the nutters or Jeb as his VP. He is old. Anything could happen to an old guy. So the thinking will go "maybe he is only a one term or less, he gets the blame for the economic ruin, then we have another President Bush, only a smarter one". They will hold their nose and push the button for McCain. Or the button is pushed for them.

24. It will be historical because the presidential nominee will be either black or female.
I don't believe that the VP has been selected.

19. Clinton-Obama would be great for party unity
Why do Obama supporters attack Unity? Isn't that what Obama is suppose to be about?

Real change would've been Kucinich. Obama isn't real change and it's sad you haven't figured that out.

22. So did Lyndon Johnson in 1960. So did Walter Mondale in 1976.
It's always best for candidates to project themselves as being winners, and not considering the VP slot. Reality comes in when they don't win and are offered the VP slot.

Clinton or Obama might take the VP position - denials or not.

it would verge on political suicide for Obama to accept the VP spot.
