Kiki McLean, Hill's senior adviser, was "taken by surprise" by Obama's "personally negative attack"
and it "took her by surprise" as it "didn't reflect the kind of campaign he said he was gonna run." :eyes: The "personally negative attack" was about how we won't win in Nov. by nominating someone who would unite the other party against us. Yeah-that's a SHOCKING personal attack. :sarcasm:

1. Roll your eyes and sarcasm away
If he keeps going negative, he's going to undermine his own "sunshine" routine and look like just another politician. Which is really what he is, anyway.

11. It's not going negative to point out the facts. Hillary's camp must be very afraid of him which
is why everything he dares point out will be categorized as "going against his promise of bringing hope." He's talking about once he's the nominee bringing the country together. Poor Clintons can't have anyone saying anything that would point out the fact that she's a divisive figure.

28. The idea that Hillary will "unite the other party against us" is NOT a fact
It is an opinion.

My opinion is that if Obama gets the nomination, the GOP will eat him alive. It'll be Gore and Kerry all over again. All this "bringing the country together" will mean nada.

2. If it is not about policy or about effectiveness in getting policy enacted - its personal

14. That comment WAS about effectiveness in getting policy enacted, duh.
Don't you understand that with a more divided country policy won't get passed as easily?

3. MSNBC has been pushing for Clinton all day (trashing Obama).
That is why campaign finance reform is meaningless.

I thought Andrea Mitchell was going to have a seizure, she was trying so hard to push Clinton.

17. It's painful listening to Andrea Mitchell. Terrible timing when trying to ask questions/make points
etc. She steps on people's answers or is silent afterwards.

29. Yes, all morning every single MSNBC host has
talked about Obama "going negative". When I heard the mild things he'd said, I couldn't believe they thought that was negative.

Apparently if Obama points out differences between the two of them, he's negative.

Good grief. But this is the same network who keeps pushing the "snub" non-issue.

Every show yesterday had something on it.

So far, Monica Nowotny hasn't brought it up either, I think.

9. So Hillary is able to blast Obama on "experience", which is only marginally true...
at best. Yet he is not able to criticize her very real IWR vote?

Ridiculous.

Rarely will she talk off message.

Might as well invite an answering machine with Hillary's voice reading todays talking points on the show.

25. Interesting that you would say that
I heard her with Peter B. Collins the other night and she claimed that Hillary would "seek the counsel" of George W. Bush when she is president. Admittedly it was said in the context of all former presidents, but I was still hoping that she had misspoken.

Hillary, the poor victim, routine. Obama didn't attack Hillary personally. Only stating a fact.
