now--playing the "victim" card, in an effort to once again try to ratchet up the women's vote for Hillary. If you draw contrasts, you are being "unfair"--"too negative." As Bill Clinton said recently, "Give me a break!"

It worked in New Hampshire, but only because the media played the "teary eyed" part and not her immediate pivot to attack Obama. If you have not seen the tape:

1. I saw a graph somewhere where after the tearing up event the numbers went up dramatically
And no I am not saying she did it on purpose (well, perhaps unconsiously)

4. She's been playing the victim guard from the get go, which as a
woman I find extremely offensive.

5. don't think the "well, I reached out my hand to him in friendship and unity"
is anything but part of that same strategy.

Watch her first statement of this. When she was asked if it was a snub, she couldn't tell the truth- she looks down and then innocently batts her eyes.

I would have had some respect for her, had she responded like a mature, class act- Saying something to the effect that people should pay attention to the issues. If indeed it was a snub in someones mind, that would have put her on the higher ground, one who doesn't need to play "oh poor me" to evoke compassion. To those who don't believe it was intentional, it would have elevated her to a more ..."class act" than playing "Poor-poor- pitiful me" either way it would have proven her to be something better than her non answer parse shows.

IMO which is all that anyone has to go by on this issue.

peace~

7. Disgustingly, playing the "snub" card is a piece of the "victim card" strategy of her campaign.
We deserve better than this from our first potential female presidential nominee.

13. I have to agree- As a woman, I don't feel that
she is the best we have to offer.

She isn't a terrible person, she just doesn't have the qualities that I believe makes a good leader.

peace~

6. You mean like Obama's published strategy - victim of the Clintons?
Edited on Thu Jan-31-08 02:21 PM by robbedvoter
"The outlines of a strategy are becoming visible. Obama and his surrogates will operate under the assumption that the more aggressive Hillary Clinton campaigns, the more outbursts Bill Clinton has, the more voters in interior red and purple states will find the Clintons off-putting and that the negative feelings will obscure the Clinton mantra that only she (and he) can stand up and protect their interests."

Advisers believe that the more the Clintons poke at Obama, the more sympathetic he becomes,

They absolutely do.

14. Yeah, I knew that's where they'd go. Be prepared for victimization after the debate tonight.
Anything he does to stand up to her will be perceived as the big bad man being mean to the nice lady.

Watch.
