Edwards Supporters Pondering a New Candidate - Raise the Bar

For those Edwars supporters who can't decide which of the two remaining candidates to support, here's an idea to help you choose:

Make the candidates adopt Edwards policy platform.

For example, Edwards health reform policy was far superior to Clinton and Obama's. If those candidates want your vote, tell them to adopt Edwards health care reform plan.

Tell them to make a public announcement, for example, that says they are changing their health care platform to not only include public and private health insurance plans, but force them to compete with each other.

Tell them to amend their health care reform plan to allow EVERYONE, regardless of income, marital status, age, whatever, to ALWAYS be allowed a choice between purchasing from government funded insurance (like Medicare) and private health insurance.

Tell them to amend their health care reform plan so that ANY government method of subsidy or assistance in purchasing insurance for those who can't afford it apply to ALL forms of health insurance, both government funded and private insurance.

Tell them to amend their health care reform plan to include enactment of laws requiring insurance companies to cover everyone regardless of illness or pre-existing conditions and make sure there are strong, substantial penalties to anyone who violates the law, including the right to sue for damages.


Don't listen to them if they tell you their plans already cover these things. They don't.

Feel free to substitute any superior Edwards policy in your demand for supporting them.
