We get it from all sides. I learned fast as a newbie on DU, anytime you see the word Texas in a thread bashing is not far behind. I wonder if these same members blame the Jews for Hitler.

37. And YOUR state gave us RAYGUN............... ;=)
At least Texas didn't decide the 00 (S)election. That WAS done by the USSC.

I live in Texas and NEVER cast a vote for Mad king Boy George. If you feel in your heart you can't "forgive Texas" (whatever that means) then knock yourself out.

8. Butch Hancock had some thoughts on Texas.
"Life in Lubbock, Texas, taught me two things: One is that God loves you and you're going to burn in hell. The other is that sex is the most awful, filthy thing on earth and you should save it for someone you love." - Butch Hancock

9. Here in Texas
Almost every dem I have talked to at our meetings is voting for Clinton. This is in north Texas, Dallas area,so I can't speak for the Houston and Austin areas, but given the large amount of hispanics there, I imagine it goes heavily for Clinton as well.

Clinton also has the most endorsements in Ohio, including the governor, Ted Strickland, in the biggest swing state of them all!

If she isn't stopped on Feb 5th, I don't see it happening.

Eeesh! That's even worse (and I was only kidding, you know)! I've been finding more and more excuses lately not to visit one of my best friends-- and he's only in Frisco.

My heart goes out to you in those wonderfully trendy neighborhoods, baroque cafes, and your awe-inspiring traffic!! :hi:

18. For what it's worth
The limited polling that's been done in Texas has shown Clinton with a substantial lead, Obama in second. Edwards has been a favorite among many party activists, but his numbers have all shown him barely breaking the 15 percent threshold for delegates.

20. I have plenty of thoughts on Texas
Especially seeing as how our state might (probably not, but just maybe) be in
play in the general for the first time since LBJ, I'm thinking about it a lot.
Even so, I'm no closer to deciding than I was before, although at least now I
can always flip a coin if I run out of time...............

31. Can't happen-- it's illegal
Can't happen-- it's illegal. The best we can do is reform into five smaller states, but still under the wings of the Federal Government.

This response valid only if you're one of those people who actually think it's a legal option-- otherwise :hi:
