Barack Obama is the only remaining candidate that supports the decriminalization of marajuana

Mr. Obama's presidential campaign said he in fact has "always" supported decriminalizing marijuana as he answered in 2004, meaning the candidate mistakenly raised his hand during the presidential debate last fall.

That position leaves Mr. Obama as the lone presidential candidate among the four leading challengers in either party who supports eliminating criminal penalties for marijuana. Mr. Obama's chief rival for the Democratic nomination, Sen. Hillary Clinton, opposes decriminalization, Clinton campaign spokesman Phil Singer said.

1. Although I favor the decriminalization of
marijuana, I can't be a single-issue voter.

3. I support it too!
It's ridiculous that we are paying so much money to prosecute and incarcerate people for smoking pot.

That's money that should be spent on schools and healthcare!

5. Find me a better source than the Moonie Times
I certainly hope that Obama supports decriminalizing pot and I think there's a better chance he will do so once elected than Hillary, but I don't think he has definitively come out in favor of it.

6. That shows good judgement on his part, *IF*
he can get elected with that stance.

I think I'll be throwing my support to him, was leaning Edwards heretofore.
