Repubs all over the Networks: Bashing Clinton for saying "we need to slow down the economy"

Stupid comment to say right now. I think it hurts both Dems with him saying that

1. absolutely

the economic crisis is at the top of everyone's list of worries. "Slow down the economy" is the wrong message to send to people whose hours have been cut back or whose jobs have been outsourced. And anyway, no one is buying things right now, so that slow down will happen all by itself I think.

It can be distorted as "Democrats want to slow down the economy". Which is what the Repukes have jumped all over. Expect them to hit the stump today with it

Bill Clinton's exact quote is this:
