obama supporters: do your candidate a favor and dont post that crap...
a few stories are popping up today that could be used as mud to throw at the clinton campaign. Show everyone what kind of people obama has supporting him. Lead by example.

4. Tell that to the New York Times and their 4 page story on
Clinton and Uranium and dictators and $1,350,000 to his library.

5. How about EVERYBODY just posts nothing.
Edited on Thu Jan-31-08 10:46 AM by RandomKoolzip
It's gotten to the point where no supporter of any candidate can make any kind of statement without it being misconstrued by someone else on here; added to this is the prevalent, but false, belief that what happens on DU affents the outside world and the larger part of the voting public. This is a mix bound to produce melodrama, pettiness, needless acrimony, and a whooooole lotta stupid.

So why doesn't EVeRYBODY give it a fucking rest for a while and go do something useful and healthy with yourselves, like working at a shelter, donating your time to feeding the homeless, or making sure the poor don't suffer as much as they usually do in the winter. Then come back when you're all sane enough to post.

6. Wow...just WOW...
We should talk about the issues, all of the issues.

You can't spend days on end, getting mileage out of "the snub"
and then insist that that Clinton scandals are off the table--and
that talking about them is "mud throwing".

The Clinton story is on the front page of the New York Times.

I don't focus on scandals. My husband read the story and he
gave me the synopsis, but I didn't really give it that much
thought.

I think we Obama people are focused on what is important--but
you can't demand that anyone (Obama supporters or otherwise)
turn a blind eye to news stories---and insist that those who
don't--are somehow being unfair.

Nice try.

7. I'm saying barring something else coming up obama controls the news...
cycle for today, cause hillary supporters are going to be dodging these news stories all day. But this will last for what, a few days max? For what? I believe THIS is exactly the stuff obama wants to change, the tit-for-tat news cycle battles that in reality dont mean squat. Its about as meaningfull as finding out what happened to britaney spears last night.

Theres nothing wrong of course about people discussing these news stories, its just when you try and use them like a bludgen its just same old useless politics.
