1. I hope he does
I like when he is in attack mode while Hillary stays calm and sticks to the issues and how she will be able to fix Bush's mess.

11. Clintons do 'FIX' messes for Bushes, don't they? 'FIXED' IranContra mess so well we got
Edited on Thu Jan-31-08 11:23 AM by blm
stuck with Bush2.

http://consortiumnews.com/2006/111106.html

Fixed BCCI report so none of the outstanding matters would see the light of day throughout the 90s - and we ended up with Bush2, 9-11, this Iraq war and future war with Iran.

Yep - Clintons are really great at fixing Bushes' messes.

How people will perceive this debate if Obama attacks Hillary and she doesn't counter attack.

7. If Hillary's internal polls who Obama gaining, then she almost has to attack him
with intent of poking a whole in his image as a transformative person who is not a typical politician. Keep the pressure on him, and hope that he makes a mistake since he is not as skilled a debater as she is. If they spend the debate yelling at each other, while it hurts them both, it hurts Obama more.

If her polling shows that Obama has no big bump from SC or Kennedy, or that Florida canceled them out, then she should be more "we're all one big happy family of Democrats here" to help eliminate bad vibes left from South Carolina.

and make Obama look as negative as possible.

Though your point about divining which ways internal polls are indeed going by what she does is very, very insightful.

That is probably the MOST important difference between the two. With Edwards out he can now emphesize on this much more effectively.

I have notice more regarding this in his recent stump speeches.

And she doesn't seem to support it now, so Obama will not be able to win on NAFTA.

30. So she changed her mind, like Edwards did on the Iraq War vote.
She voted against the Central American Free Trade Agreement in 2005, saying the pact lacked strong protections for foreign workers and that President George W. Bush was failing to enforce existing trade laws.

She also joined her New York colleague, Senator Charles Schumer, in backing legislation imposing trade sanctions on Chinese exports unless the government in Beijing agreed to stop holding down the value of the yuan. Last month, she sent a letter to Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson and Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke warning about China's ownership of $350 billion of U.S. debt.

<snip>

To help allay suspicions that she's been hijacked by free- traders from her husband's team, Clinton asked Thea Lee, the AFL- CIO's policy director, and Michael Wessel, who had been a top aide of Nafta foe and former House Democratic leader Richard Gephardt, into strategy discussions to debate pro-traders.

http://www.bloomberg.com/apps/news?pid=20601070&sid=atUKcP4eSEvY&refer=politics

I don't know if her conversion is sincere or not, but that's what she'll claim and how she'll neutralize herself on the subject of NAFTA.

33. If she's claiming that being First Lady gave her "experience"...
...and that she was an important part of Bill's administration, then the policies she supported THEN are fair game. When Bill was President, Hillary supported NAFTA.

If it counts for Edwards, it should count for Clinton too.

37. Hard to say what will happen
But if it turns out to be an all out brawl I'm sure both Obama and Hillary will attack each other on there past in reference to shady deals, corrupt government, etc. Rezko will come out, Wal-Mart both Hillary and Obama's dealings, legalizing marijuanna, who's financing (Obama.truth), and I'm sure Obama will do the same to Hillary. I'm not sure what Obama and Hillary have on each other but if it's an all out brawl I hope it all comes out tonight.

And we'll get more leaders of Planned Parenthood and NARAL switching to Obama. It was a bad idea for her to use the right to choose as a false attack against a rival.

Surely if Hillary could vote for bills the way Bush asked her to, she could have found a way to do the same for Planned Parenthodd, the way Obama did when asked, eh?
