IF people have answered honestly then:

Nine people who voted for Clinton in 2000 will not vote for her in 2008.

It doesn't mean they're Democrats per se. Besides Democrats this site allows leftists, progressives, liberal independents and the odd swing voter.

IF the poll is accurate (which would be some luck!) then:

36% of Clinton's former voters dislike her for president.

I can easily imagine something like 20%, which is a big swing.

It's frustrating not being able to vote for my favorite candidate; but it's just too expensive to pay for the citizenship application, and it's going up now in June again. Almost $1000, I believe. And I won't be able to vote in the 2008 election anyway.

In 2000 while living abroad I voted by absentee ballot (at any rate, I hope it was counted) in the federal elections, including for House and Senate from New York, my prior last legal residence.

I'm sure you still can - you can't vote for state or city government, but for federal.

Or has this changed?
