That the war in Iraq ended so quickly, all the troops have come home, there is now a government surplus instead of deficit, and that Hillary had to abort Obama's baby just before the election.

That's the only way I see the republicans winning this year.

13. A tribute to the current democratic hatefest and
the MSMs adoration of all things McCain. It will be amusing to watch all the beltway pundits who have pounded Hillary, turn on Obama if he gets the nomination, because they love big John more. And all the Hillary haters in the democratic party will do their fair share to elect mcCain if Hillary is the nominee.

People get the government they deserve.

17. Depending on the margin
Edited on Wed Jan-30-08 10:59 PM by fujiyama
we could discern from results that beating McCain was always an uphill race, regardless of the nominee...though if it's Hillary that lost to him my personal reaction would be "no big surprise".

Though, I'd remember Edwards-McCain matchups and think...maybe he could have...

And then I'd be waiting for the next war...and the war after that...and the war after that..

30. I doubt any democrat would lose the election over
something so trivial to the american people. The american public wants a number of things, better economy, iraq over, health care

really, where would the rezco thing apply? Also, Obama's been cleared of any wrong doing, and, I'm sure we dems could dig up far worse on the republicans

McCain is not a moron like Bush. And he won't go out of his way to embarrass the nation like Bush has.

If this scenario happens, I will force myself to look on the bright side, even if a sliver of light.

36. I fully except to see a McCain as our next President
As an Edwards supporter (YES EVEN NOW.) I see that we say we are progressive, we say that we want change, we say we want a fighter and we say we want our party to show a little backbone. But when we have to opportunity, we are carried away by sweet (empty) words. And set ourselves up to get our asses whipped.

When you are looking at President McCain, remember you had the opportunity to stand for what you said believed. However you turned your back to the candidate who evolved to be the Progressive you said you wanted.

So welcome to 4 more years of hell.
