Obama to speak at Taco Bell in Boise, Idaho Saturday morning
Taco Bell Arena, that is. :)

Obama to speak at Taco Bell Arena; doors open 7 a.m. Saturday

Dan Popkey - Idaho Statesman
Edition Date: 01/30/08

Sen. Barack Obama will be at Taco Bell Arena early Saturday, officials from the Idaho for Obama office announced Wednesday evening.

Earlier Wednesday, Sen. Barack Obama's Idaho spokesman, Chani Wiggins, said a three-member advance team scouted locations.

Wiggins said Obama's choosing Idaho shows the race is tight.

On Tuesday, Democrats will caucus or vote in primaries in 21 states. Idaho has 23 of the 2,025 delegates required for the nomination.

"Every delegate matters," Wiggins said today. "Obama's running a 50-state strategy. He recognizes that red states other candidates fly over are important."

1. Taco Bell Arena?
That's right up there with the (former) Poulan Weed-Eater Independence Bowl

4. Idaho should be a big win for him
He was ahead there long before he surged in the national polls over the past two months.

5. His strategy is becoming pretty clear

winning smaller states like Idaho, Colorado,Utah, North and South Dakota and KS plus winning his own state of IL and two southern states, Alabama and Georgia. I think he and Hillary will split Arizona (his) and New Mexico (hers). The polls are closing fast in MA and CT. Then going all out in CA and winning a sizeable amount of delegates in NY, not winning, but still doing well enough.
