My mom is 93 and a lifelong Democrat; her sister is 82 and the same
Two old Irish gals, both widows. I just spoke to Mom on the phone and she volunteered that she has moved from Clinton to Obama about two weeks ago and will be voting for Obama Tuesday in New Jersey. She was possibly influenced by her younger sister, my aunt, who will be voting Obama in Illinois.

Quote from my retired teacher aunt as paraphrased by my mother: She (Clinton) is bright and capable and a woman... I want to like her but I just don't. I just don't like her and won't vote for her.

Not meant to be a Clinton bash for it's own sake. True story. So not all "old white women" are on the Clinton bandwagon.

Haven't polled the rest of my extended family (37 Democrats, one Republican in-law). Spread all over the country from New England to California. Will post the results when available.

11. Because I'm not a liar, perhaps?
I thought it was interesting enough to share. The first Clinton surrogate curses at me for talking about my mother. A couple more just flat out call me a liar. Is my story that hard to believe that it must be made up? Or is it because I support Obama I must be a liar? You folks are getting a little strange for the 20% of this board that you make up.

14. Guess you'll have to take my word for it. Sorry.
I guess I could have taped the conversation and posted an audio or something.... hmmmm....guess I didn't think people would simply call me a liar. Something I'm not used to in my daily life. Very naive of me.

Read my bio if you want to know who I am. I don't hide it.

8. My 83 year old dad seems to like Obama also....
Dad always SAYS he's an independent -- then votes for the Republican almost always.

This time we might actually vote for the SAME person! Incredible.
