Even "I hate Hillary" Chris Matthews calls bullshit on the denial.

47. It was a minor issue but had teeth on MSM
And Obama teamed up with McKaskil to explain how it wasn't a snub, but it took a lot of explaining to do for damage control.

The earlier photo where Obama and Ted are looking directly at Clinton as she approached them shows the real truth.

she was right their when he said Clair asked him a question... so you are saying two US Senator's are lying about this incident... his back is fully turned by the time clinton even reaches her hand out...

Plus hillary hasn't commented on it... don't you think if it was a true snub... they would be spinning it out of control... i do..

12. I do wonder
what happened that wasn't caught by the cameras that time or at other times...simply because a large number of people that were there seemed to be of the impression that something unfriendly happened.

I'm less impressed by that photo though than I am of the one where Kennedy and Edwards are standing behind her and look like they are sneering at her.

I think we'll probably never really know.

24. That bothered me too.
Also some of the looks Sen. McCaskill was giving Sen. Clinton were horrible. She was also on the plane later with Obama while he was explaining his side of the story and she was just smirking away. Wonder what is in it for her to be such a vicious advocate for him. I guess they all hate each other now and that I find really sad.

29. The McCaskill smirk
I saw that and it bothered me a great deal. If you look in the photos above where Obama is supposedly in such an absorbing conversation with her that he had no idea Hillary was there, she's not even looking at him! My respect for her (and I'd donated to her campaign in 06) has dropped quite a few notches.

But I can not say it. It rhymes with witch and stitch. LOL. She seems awfully involved and looks at Clinton like she is "the other woman" or something. Really ugly. I noticed that about the photos too. Her eyes are locked right onto Clinton.

I've asked that several times. I'm guessing that Fox, MSNBC or CNN doesn't play the video clip because it's owned by cspan or something. The only way to see it is to purchase it from the cspan archives.

Id rather vote for someone who is true to themselves. If he snubbed her, he snubbed her. Good on him. I'd rather someone who is honest than someone acting fake for TV ratings. So there. We all know there is no love loss between the two. But some supporters want to make hay when its convenient. Please.

23. Hillary is easy to spot
She's wearing bright red in a sea of dark suits. In the first frame, Obama couldn't help but see her--if he didn't, he has tunnel vision. He clearly turns a little further away in each frame to avoid having to speak or acknowledge her. Even when she's shaking hands with Ted, he knows she's there and is bound to have heard her voice and Ted's voice. A big man would have faced his opponent. If this is the kind of leader he'd be-one who is unable or unwilling to speak to those he opposes or to bury the hatchet when its for the good of the country-that is not what we need. Shame on him.

43. This says it best: "Uncle Teddy can’t fight all his fights"

http://www.nytimes.com/2008/01/30/opinion/30dowd.html?_r=1&th=&oref=slogin&emc=th&pagewanted=print

It would have been the natural thing for the Illinois senator, only hours after his emotional embrace by the Kennedys and an arena full of deliriously shrieking students, to follow the lead of Uncle Teddy and greet the rebuffed Hillary.

She was impossible to miss in the sea of dark suits and Supreme Court dark robes. Like Scarlett O’Hara after a public humiliation, Hillary showed up at the gathering wearing a defiant shade of red.

But the fact that he didn’t do so shows that Obama cannot hide how much the Clintons rattle him, and that he is still taking the race very personally.

On a flight to Kansas yesterday to collect another big endorsement, this one from Gov. Kathleen Sebelius, Obama said he was “surprised” by reports of The Snub.

“I was turning away because Claire asked me a question as Senator Kennedy was reaching forward,” he said. “Senator Clinton and I have had very cordial relations off the floor and on the floor. I waved at her as I was coming into the Senate chamber before we walked over last night. I think there is just a lot more tea leaf reading going on here than I think people are suggesting.”

But that answer is disingenuous. Their relations have been frosty and fraught ever since the young Chicago prince challenged Queen Hillary’s royal proclamation that it was her turn to rule.

………….
Given her brazen quote to ABC News, Obama is right to be scared of Hillary. He just needs to learn that Uncle Teddy can’t fight all his fights, and that a little chivalry goes a long way.
