5. True
they're not the same.

Nonetheless, many people here hate Clinton. Irrationally, in my opinion.

10. But Hillary people paint with a big brush with that bit
By assuming a lot of people who oppose her hate her when they don't seem to get that disagreement is not hatred.

12. and that broad brush
paints us, too. We're "kool-aid drinkers", or "hillbots".

No one side has the monopoly on smearing here.

17. I'm not saying either side doesn't
Just that by engaging in that kind of us vs. them mentality that set you guys up for that characterization.

7. Of course

I voted for Hillary twice for Senator. I voted for Obama in the primary. I don't think Hillary delivered for NY. However, if she gets the nomination, I sure as hell will vote for her over ANY Republican. I most certainly will not sit home and not vote for the whoever the Dem nominee is because my "guy" didn't win. That would be the same as pulling the lever for the REPUBLICAN. No way.

9. No it's not.
I respect those who don't support her for logical/intellectual reasons. And I appreciate an intelligent discussion about why she is not supported. However, I despise the shit-flinging that goes on here at DU by some (including some of her supporters).

13. After her election manipulation
It is the same to me. I don't support her and I don't like her personally. Now today, she lies about trying to shake Obama's hand when the pictures are clear that she didn't. I don't understand why anybody is supporting her, she's got no ethics or character, and I'm not going to stop saying so. I don't want to trade one pile of slime for another.

15. Amen to that... I admire both Clintons and always will
I do disagree more strongly than I can express with her decision to support the Bush Administration's invasion of Irag which brought death and destruction to a people who had done nothing to deserve it. And start this horrible chain of events. That I cannot forgive or forget. But that's just me being me.

Not a hater, just a pragmatist. Getting a DEM elected is the priority. Getting a larger majority in both Houses is a priority. From my on the ground experience as an activist I find Clinton's negatives with the average voter just too high for me to feel confident she is the strongest candidate. Whether fair or unfair that is the case in my personal experience talking to voters.
