Clinton gains Florida fillip after bruising by Obama

DAVIE, Florida (AFP) — Florida may have been a phantom stop on the White House road, but Hillary Clinton trumpeted her Sunshine State victory as she vied to regain the limelight from her high-wattage rival Barack Obama.

Although Florida has been stripped of its Democratic delegates, the former first lady told backers at a late-night rally here Tuesday that their votes most definitely counted.

"I am convinced that with this resounding vote, and with the millions of Americans who will vote next Tuesday, we will send a clear message that America is back!" she told a couple of hundred raucous supporters.

.
...........

But for aides to Clinton, who is cast by Obama and Kennedy as the champion of a discredited old guard, symbols matter less than votes -- and so the primary in Florida was a stunning assertion of enthusiasm by Democrats.

2. Good for her
Don't let some insiders decide what votes count and what don't... The DNC doesn't seem to understand the horrible message this has sent to Michigan and Florida (Dems there were NOT responsible for the date change) and Obama's communication's director is burning bridges with it as fast as he can. These folks need to settle down. After 2000, WE can't afford to be the one disenfranchising voters.

3. Looks like Karl Rove is staging public events for Hillary
This is much to do about nothing, and it reminds of the time Bush had a big event at a warehouse where he extolled American exports with "Made in USA" as a backdrop. It turned out that the goods in the warehouse were imports from China.
