It really hurts to have these two great individuals drop out of the race due to lack of support from the voters, but they are incredibly gifted human beings who I have no doubt will turn up in vitally important positions in the administration of whomever is elected. Perhaps Gore will also find a vitally important home in a new Democratic administration.
We have a lot of people to be proud of, in spite of the fact we all have our favorite people.
This is value of the candidates who have not made it to the final cut: They persistently, passionately and eloquently raised specific issues and demonstrated incontrovertible skill in their respective areas of interest.
Edwards: Law, Universal Health Care, Judicial. A good human being, which we can always use.
Biden: Brilliant, visionary, experienced and honest when it comes to foreign relations. He can rehabilitate the U.S. reputation overseas.
Gore: Clearly the environment and maybe overseeing the CDC so that we get total and complete revision and reconstruction of these governmental oversight and health agencies.
Richardson and Kucinich would also seem to me to be very valuable.
No matter what our disagreements have been here at DU about our favorite candidates, I submit to you that they each have tremendous value to our future going forward.
