3. I Need Inspiration
I want to volunteer to help Kerry, but it will be hard because the main reason he appeals to me is he isn't Bush. Kerry doesn't excite me like Edwards, so it'll be a challenge to get my heart in it.

9. Had any one of my five top Democratic candidates won the nomination....
I'd have voted for them in a heartbeat, without reservation. I gave money to several candidates. But I simply don't know if my stomach is strong enough to bite back the internal stench I'd feel pulling the lever for Kerry. I have to live with myself, and considering Kerry's voting record, I'm not sure if I can stomach voting for him.

This may change with time, but if the election was held today, I'd probably not vote. This would be the first time I've not voted since 1986.

One of the old "truisms" or folk-sayings of the Soviet Union was "They pretend to pay us, we pretend to work." I've adapted this to this race: When the corporatists pretend to give us a choice, I'll pretend to vote.

I guess you could say I'm feeling a little bitter, considering the strongly progressive candidates that we had to chosse from, and what we ended up with. This may pass. Then again, maybe it will not.
