I'm voting against the media.
That's why I'm voting for John Edwards come hell or high water.

I can't stand either Obama or Hillary, and I'm not voting for either of them.

I just talked to an old friend who votes this way and that. She can't stand Hillary or Obama, so she will vote for McCain.

I will not vote for a Republican, but I'm not going to be forced by the almighty media to vote for Republican-lite either.

I am extremely proud of John Edwards. His speech this morning was very courageous, but I am not voting for Hillary or Obama. Neither of them will be able to change the country. Neither of them can beat John McCain.

You can throw me off this board, but I'm pretty disillusioned with the Democratic Party right now. It allows the media to choose our candidate. It won't stand up for the Constitution. It wins a majority in Congress and can't even subpoena documents. The foremost concern of our "representatives" in Congress is to keep in the good graces of the media so they can get elected again.

1. Hear hear!!! Very well said.
I already voted for Edwards, absentee, just yesterday. I'm glad I did too.

"The Other Two" vote in agreement 94% of the time, they are very much alike. I'll vote for whomever wins the schoolyard hair pulling fights in the general election. Until then, I voted my conscience, which is what people are supposed to do in the primary.

I have a few books in the ol' reading stack... and a long list of film noir I want to see, so I'm good 'til November:)

2. I'm not going to beat on Edwards supporters
right now, and I think they should be given a period of time to say what they wish and certainly shouldn't be thrown off of DU just because they don't feel they can vote for the dem candidate in November.

4. Correction. I believe you mean the media candidate.
And no, I won't be voting for the media candidate, him or her.

I have worked very hard in election after election. We finally get a candidate who has the maturity and the guts to make a difference, and the Democratic sheepie flock to the side of the media picks, Obama and Hillary. I'm not being led to that slaughter. I don't have to conform -- never have, never will.

If you like Obama so much, you vote for him. You get him elected. I don't like him. I never will.

He has never explained what he was referring to when he talked about the "excesses of the '60s and '70s." That is key for me. That sounds so Republican-lite.

I am pleased to see that he finally went to Kansas to acknowledge his roots there. I still think his grandmother was a Republican and that he, like Hillary, was Republican in his teenaged years.

I was raised Democratic in a home with few material advantages, and I'm just more dedicated to Democratic values than these Republican-lites who raised in homes with more material advantages are.

7. Well
good luck to you. I think you're flat out wrong, but hey I don't come from where you do. And I sure as hell don't believe that someone growing up with more material advantages makes them de facto repuk-lite. That makes JE's children, just that. Oh, and Obama did not grow up with a lot of material advantages- at all.

3. Me too.
I'm telling everyone to still vote for him. I donated to him and I want to support his message and send a message to the media.
