Go ahead, bookmark this and throw it at me if/when I'm wrong.
Watch the next Clinton/Obama debate turn into a love-in.
Richardson, Edwards, Gore, and Kerry in the Cabinet.

edit: added two letters

1. Condi Rice is a failure. She has no record to run on, and would be a purely token choice.

Might be Huckabee, but probably a governor like Pawlenty or Sanford.

3. She counters Obama/Clinton. With her in, there's no racism/sexism in opposing Clinton/Obama.
That's the spin I foresee.

2. I* used to think you were just anti Obama.... Now I just think you have no clue.
Rice has no political instincts at all... she buys McCain nothing becuase the Foriegn Policy establishment already support him

McCain says himself that he is not steeped on economic issues. He had problems on his right flank in a whole lot of areas.

Rice would just be a stupid choice.

4. It WOULD shore up McCain's standing with several black females across the country

He'll be going with Huckabee, the human GOTV machine with the churchies.

6. "Rice would just be a stupid choice." See my post above.
Not so "stupid" a choice.

7. Whoever his VP choice I consider the real Repugnant nominee.
McCain is old and ill. The presidency takes a heavy toll on anybody. Look at any president and watch them gray considerably (except Reagan ;) ) and their face age dramatically.

Whoever his running mate is, I think will end up being the President because his health will not allow him to actually serve. McCain is just liberal enough to pull conservative-liberal voters who are discouraged/angered by Obama and/or Clinton, McCain is just a cover to get a real Repugnant in the WH.

8. I think you're right.
With McCain, the second half of the ticket will be very important.

11. Watch the love-fest at this next debate. They'll be all over each other with respect.
You'll want to turn a hose on them.

14. You throw up an entirely speculative post and want intellectualism?
Try to support your ridiculous guesswork on Clinton or Obama's VP choice with something more substantial than tea leaves or astrology.

10. I'm thinking McCain might pick Giuliani.
I don't think he is foolish enough to want to have as running mate part of an administration that most of the country (including Repubs) want gone.
