Which candidates who have suspended their campaigns now endorse Kerry?
I think all but Dean and CMB now endorse Kerry? Am I right?

1. Dean will endorse Kerry but I think it's more of an implicit endorsement
when Dean says he'll support the nominee.

2. By your definition of suspension
Noone has endorsed Kerry yet.

Edwards and Dean are the only ones that suspended their campaigns.

Clark, Lieberman, and Gephardt quit, releasing all their delegates.

4. Clark suspended, not 'quit'.
Technically, only Gep and Lieberman 'quit'. Clark's delegates will not be released until after the first vote at the convention, and he has not formally filed any paperwork to withdraw.

3. Yes.
Clark did it immediately, Gephardt waited a week or two, and Graham waited until the nomination was sewn up (he was originally looking at Clark--he would not endorse a non-foreign policy candidate, regardless of what Dean thought. BTW, Graham and Clark and Kerry are all very close personal friends).

CMB endorsed Dean.

Dean is a segregationalist for the party, so I don't expect his endorsement (unless he is threatened by the DNC, lol!).

Wait, did Lieberman endorse? I don't recall that at all...

9. Rules reminder:
Candidates who have quit lose their delegates; the delegates can vote for whomever they want.

Candidates whose campaigns are suspended MUST vote for their candidate on the first ballot. The candidate can endorse or not endorse, but the delegates MUST vote for the original candidate.Dean, Clark & Edwards delegates must vote for Dean, Clark & Edwards.

AFTER the first ballot, those delegates can vote for ANYONE they choose. Their candidates may try to broker them to support someone else but they DO NOT HAVE TO GO TO THE NEW PERSON. MOST DELEGATES DO NOT KNOW THAT THEY ARE FREE AGENTS after the first ballot, if their candidate is not going on in the balloting. They do not have to go to the new person their candidate wants them to go to.The candidate can endorse or not, but the delegates do not have to follow.

So it behooves delegates to be up on all the candidates.
