I wish that when candidates dropped out they could...
donate the money that was donated to their campaigns to the party nominee. It would certainly help us a lot if we had the fundraising power that Bush had because let's face it.. he's been doing re-election fundraisers since Jan. 2001 (he never leaves the White House without attending at least one) and in our primary we barely get to raise money because our party split it's money 10 ways. This would allow for the monies of the different campaigns that are left to at least be consolidated with the nominee to help them against the opponent who has been able to have all of his party's money focused on him for four years.

1. They can, actually
Up to a certain amount, plus unlimited contributions to the DNC.

The problem is -- most campaigns end in debt.

2. Wonder what will happen to the rest of the matching funds
money that was delayed until April.
Quite a few of the candidates qualified, no?

3. Believe all had debts up to the limit of what they should have gotten,
except Kucinich. He's very frugal and responsible and is not banking on future receipts, whether from CFR money or otherwise.
