A great victory was won today in the Primary Wars. Let us celebrate.
The corporations won.
The oppressors of the downtrodden won.
The War Machine won.
The Empire Builders won.
The defenders of the Status Quo won.

Let us all go out and dance in the streets, dance around bonfires built of Edwards campaign materials.

1. Normally, I'd bring the gasoline
But at $3/gallon, I say we try matches and hope for favorable winds.

Which is my way of agreeing with you.

6. Now?
I don't know about you, but now I lay very low. In a couple of months, no more message boards, no more politics, no more sarcastic humor. It's off to the woods with me and mine. I intend to be as uninvolved as I can possibly be and too far out in the middle of nowhere to be worth harassing.

I just have a hunch that things have to get worse in America, perhaps a LOT worse, before they get better. I'll have no part of it. When or if we go sane again, I'll be happy to participate again. But I've learned that the one thing that can't be forced upon people is sanity.

26. yep. Leave the 'Ignore All' sign out for one year.
Until I find out that John Edwards has been offered a place of honorable service to his America.
AG..specifically. I want this man to correct the corruption of GWBush et.al.
None other will do it as well as John Edwards.

Don't really care which Dem gets the Presidency after today as long as they appoint Edwards for AG. and give him free reign and respect to undo the mess of Bush.

Edwards would be a powerful friend of the American people as a member of the Supreme Court, someday.

Not interested beyond this as to the 08 election year.

4. I Will Miss the Man, My Friend
I had been intending to vote for him next Tuesday.

I have always liked his 'two Americas' theme, and think he was saying things that need to be said about the domestic affairs of our country. He is absolutely right that entrenched profiteering interests will surrender nothing they are not forced to surrender by political force majeur, and that kind of clear thinking attracts me.

"I may not understand what you say, but I will defend to your death my right to deny it."

9. Still vote for Edwards on Tuesday.
I plan too. Let the Democrats know we want a more progressive agenda than what they are offering.

22. When Clark dropped out, I still voted for him in my primary in 2004
It was largely symbolic, of course. My dad had just died and Clark was who he wanted, and I'd sort of liked him as well.

So it felt good to still vote for him.
