Was there anything specific John Edwards promised to do, or not do, or fix, or change, that really spoke to you? What would you like to see the other candidates adopt from John's platform? The more specific, the better.

7. YES!
That IS THE issue that is the core of all other issues! And that is the one that will get compromised away if we let it.

12. Agreed. Bust corporate monopolies and end corporate control of our government.
Corporate control of our government is the cancer that causes almost every other problem that our nation faces.

Unless this issue is addressed by a Democratic candidate, I take them only slightly more seriously than I do a republican.

17. Not dealing with this IS what will make a Nader disruption viable!
If they deal with this issue from a progressive standpoint, they MIGHT be able to neutralize Nader this time!

11. I am absolutely passionate about John Edwards health care plan.
I like the way if forces private companies to compete with government health care. It gives people a choice of plan for those who want it. Inevitably people will move into the government plan because it will be much more competitive. Things will evolve into single-payer since private companies will not be able to compete with the quality and coverage of government sponsored health care.

John Edwards was basing his health care system on something similar to the Medicare model. Also, Edwards wants to take away Congress's health care until their is a model in place for the American people to motivate Congress to act responsibly on health care.

13. All of the above, don't forget actually out of Iraq
Healthcare, poverty, lobbyists, ...

But actually getting out of Iraq, not beginning to get out, not depending on the meaning of "combat troops", not any of the other weasel words from Obama or Clinton. Actually get out.

Direct, clear, concise answers, well-thought-out policies.

14. Fight for the interests of the majority and FIGHT CORPORATISM
Rampant uncontrolled corporatism is the cancer that has been eating away at America since the late 1970's.

Stop the rampant drive to deregulate, privatize and give monopoly power to giant corporations.

Restore a truly competative free-enterprise economy in the best sense of those words. one that supports the growth of a middle class and offers true opportunities for the poor. One that combats the concentration of wealth and power.

Fight that dammit.

Is John say "I can believe you all showed up for my speech on Poverty. Where did you get the idea I'm dropping out, following rumors again? As long as your here, let's talk some issues. Oh I almost forgot, Jimmy Carter wants to endorse me...."
