If you are an Edwards Democrat, then don't vote for him.
Edited on Wed Jan-30-08 10:56 AM by LoZoccolo
Dropping out of the race was his decision and evidently he felt it would accomplish something that staying in wouldn't accomplish. If you respect that, then you will not vote for him. He could have easily campaigned another week and got past Super Tuesday, but he made a conscious decision not to because I think he felt it would affect the race negatively at no benefit to his candidacy.

Remember: it's not about you and your feelings, but about this country. Edwards recognizes that; do you?

1. he should have waited another week to decide
why would he not wait until after next Tuesday? Bummer. It seems he could have actually had an impact in super tuesday on some real issues for many folks.

4. I think he saw that he wouldn't win and didn't want to be a spoiler.
I admire that about him, that he'd put what he saw was a greater purpose above his own candidacy.

10. Unless Edwards specifically states the voters should not vote for him
supporters should still vote for him if they want.

2. Today isn't the day for this. I'd be pretty pissed and seething if this was my
candidate right now. They'll make their decisions in their own time.

3. I agree.
I want to hear the two Corporatists co-opt more of JE's platforms.

I'm not convinced of either.

Yet.

6. agree
like i said - it really would not cost him more than a few plane tickets to stay at this point. he has the cash. He can influence what the discussion is about at the BIGGEST level still. By driopping - his voice is gone :-( Win or not. He brought up the issues that need to be there

7. no point
I voted for Kerry because he was supposedly electable. After reading how the dlc was so vicious to Edwards, I lost faith in the democratic party. It is so obvious now with this primary season that we only have one party, the Corporatist Party, and Americans weren't smart enough to see it. This was America's last chance to survive and citizens weren't informed enough to see it. It really doesn't matter who wins, the country will be run by Big Business interests as it has been for almost a century. There now is no viable candidate fore the people. Edwards was our last shot.

11. BULLSHIT, BULLSHIT BULLSHIT!! IN A PRIMARY..VOTE YOUR HEART!
Who the fuck are you the op to tell anyone a damn thing?

everyone who has voted in this country for decades knows..in a primary ..vote your heart!

why don't you respect your democractic ideals..

you go vote for the guy who didn't bother to vote against Mukasey, who now says waterbaording isn't technically torture.

why don't you spend your time checking out your candidate and see what his or her record is of not voting and see where their values are..

i don't know what hillary;s record is on voting for Mukasey..but i know damn well Obama didn't bother to vote.

go send your kumbaya to someone else!

i give Obama a week to steal Edwards words from today ..how about you?

oh and by the way..where the fuck did that Hope that was in Iowa go..oh i know he stole "CHANGE" from John in NH..so i await to see how long it takes Obama to steal his words from today.

OH AND SAVE YOUR BREATH..I WAS IN IOWA..AND I SAW ONLY "HOPE " SIGNS..

Hell Obama stole two full sentences out of John's debate response.

what will the great Obama do now without someone to plagerize ?

save your nonsence for other kool aide drinkers...

people vote your heart..that is what primaries are for!

and don't let anyone..paid or unpaid to talk you into anything other than what your heart tells you!

but before you vote your heart, put your pom poms down for a second and check the candidates records..vote with intelligence..and facts..not what someone will try to con you into or offer you kool aide to do.

vote with your heart and trust your own intelligence! don't let anyone else sway your vote.

16. One of the foremost freepers of ObamaNation
Is dictating what we should do.

Whatever I may feel about Hillary, her supporters never ONCE attacked my candidate.

The same can't be said of Obama's. And now you want to reach out to us?

As Redqueen said, we're not about buying into candidates who are Corporate shills, whether a man or woman.

...you won't vote for him. He has dropped out of the race at a time when he could have kept it going. Obviously he did that for a reason.
