7. Actually, I've had plenty of unkind things to say

about GWB. Starting with the 2000 election. And continuing on a regular basis ever since.

And I have plenty of great things to say about my candidate. I've done so for about 11 months here on DU. And elsewhere as well.

Here are some great things about my candidate:

He walks the walk. His words are not empty; he acts on them. And his actions are consistent with what he says.

He has been the most active opponenet of GWB since 2000. He has never backed down. He has never compromised us. He is the champion of the people.

He has a lifetime of succeeding on a limited budget; his campaign is about issues, not about endorsements, polls, or money. Ask Ted Koppel.

He will be serving the interests of Americans and of democratic values like peace, and like social and economic justice, in 2005 regardless of who wins the nomination or the presidency. He is not going away.

And I oppose Dean. I have not always opposed him. I started out with Dean at the top of my list. As I pored over his record and his platform, I found more and more things that just didn't match, so I moved on. I still didn't oppose him. I didn't oppose him until he lied.

I really dislike candidate bashing. My candidate doesn't bash others, just tells the truth.(a la Truman.)We have generally GREAT candidates, and all of them are head and shoulders above Bush. So I am proud to be able to contribute my little bit to the process.

I'm getting ready to head over there soon-- I'm providing the sound system and some entertainment this evening. I know most DK supporters are still pretty broke right now (myself included), but we can hopefully scrape together a few hundred for the last quarter.

But it ain't always about the MONEY, though, either. Gore beat Bush and spent $60,000,000 LESS than Bush did. WE can do the same, as long as we don't fall into playing THEIR game by their rules.
