Could Hillary be bought off with an offer of Majority Leader?
Edited on Tue Jan-29-08 04:06 PM by Perky
It is way to early to posit this scenario. But it seems possible to me that after the primaries conclude in August. No one will have a majority but that Obama will be seen as the more attractive candidate. In the lead but not with a clear majority.

Offering Hillary the Majority Leader position would be a great way to avoid a brokered convention particularly if the common wisdome is that Obama would bring more people to the polls and help the down-ballot.

17. He won't after Fat Tuesday. But he'll still try to contest things and such.
Bill Clinton didn't have his majority of delegates until April.

4. I'd prefer Chris Dodd as majority leader
And I don't think HRC would be happy with anything less than the WH. In fact, if she doesn't get the nomination this time, I suspect she'll leave the Senate after her current term. Her purpose in running for the Senate was always to prep her for a run for the presidency.

9. I wish she'd accept VP right now
She could prove she'll support a more progressive agenda, and then run for Pres in 8 years. If she really wants to bring this country together, that would be the way to do it.

14. Gosh - maybe she'd be happy with the Ladies Bake Sale chair
Gee Hill honey, we know you've worked hard for years for this but there's this new guy in town who we think you should step aside for. We know you won't mind, you being a girl and all.

and do something "useful" by endorsing Obama too, right?

More arrogance from Team Obama--I guess we know where you get it from
